In 1997 and 98 we wrote a Windows based program in Visual Basic and MS Access that allowed banks and other institutions to take checks over the phone. This is well before the advent of online payment systems. Later on I worked with those, too. Next, beginning in 1998, we built an extensible, web based, custom CRM using PHP and MySQL. From there I have not really looked back. I worked with AngularJS before Google decided it should be made a product. Using Angular, Vue, React, and React like JS tools today. We used Symfony 1 early on and Symfony 2+ later. Using microservices for much of our backend work right now. I like learning new things and perfecting current skills.
Skills
Began PHP development in the late 1990s designing, architecting, and building a custom CRM. Started with Symfony 1 in the late 2000s moving to later versions as well. I have worked with WordPress and AWS for over a decade. Adopted AngularJS in the early 2010s. Also did some work with Cordova and Ionic. Used React and Node most of 2023. More recently I have been working with headless CMS products such as Contentful and Wordpress (RESTful and GraphQL) with front ends using Gatsby, Faust, and Astro. Also, building ecommerce backends with Medusa with Next.js front ends.
